ALLAEYS

Allaeys is a visionary artist whose work spans sculpture, visual art, and the intersection of science and communication. Deeply connected to the natural world, she has drawn inspiration from its forms, textures, and colours since childhood, shaping a unique artistic language that transcends disciplines.

Allaeys’ passion for decoding languages and symbols also led her to collaborate with researchers, transforming complex scientific discoveries into hand-drawn videos—today’s most accessible storytelling medium. She has worked closely with scientists worldwide, using visual language to bridge cultural and disciplinary divides, enabling groundbreaking research to reach a broader audience.

Seeking a return to tactile expression, Allaeys turned to sculpture, immersing herself in the raw materials of clay, bronze, and stone. Her bronze sculptures reimagine primal artistic themes in a contemporary context, breathing new life into age-old representations of animals and their symbolic power. For centuries, such figures—bulls embodying strength, owls symbolising wisdom, horses representing courage—served as spiritual conduits, linking humanity to the cosmos. Through her work, Allaeys rekindles this ancient connection, offering sculptures that are not merely decorative but deeply evocative, inviting introspection and grounding us in something greater than ourselves.

Characterised by sleek curves and pure forms, her sculptures provide a visual and tactile harmony—restful to the eye, pleasing to the hand. By preserving the sacred in daily life, Allaeys encourages us to rediscover the profound through symbols that transcend time, linking the material and the spiritual in a language both ancient and timeless.

Bea Sarrias

Influenced by 20th-century American realism, Spanish artist Bea Sarrias is from Barcelona, a city in which she has found the themes that mark the most important aspects of her artistic work: architecture and light.

Bea doesn't paint buildings but instead creates portraits of spaces. Her work is anthropological and is made up of research and photography which documents the past and present of buildings subtly hinting at the presence, and sometimes the absence of their inhabitants.

Painting by Bea Sarrias

Her paintings, which are based on the most important works of renowned Spanish and International architects, has received diverse praise and in particular, recognition for her outstanding use of light and shadow.

‘I am interested in perspective, composition and above all light. For me architecture is a tool with which to paint light. Light gives spaces their form and creates presence. With light I aim to capture the very soul of the spaces I paint.’

Mathias Frykholm

Mathias Frykholm is a self-taught artist who strives to paint “the beauty in the world in a realistic way”. He draws inspiration from the Swedish nature and environments that surround him. Mathias’s studio is based in Hammarö in Värmland in Sweden which close to Lake Vänern. Many of his paintings depict the beautiful surroundings of the lake and often his figurative works show the interaction between nature and man.

He prefers working on a larger scale so that the viewer is fully absorbed by the composition with small, intricate details that make the painting come to life. Mathias captures a high level of realism in his paintings and the craftsmanship, brushstrokes, colour and textural details are highly refined and beautiful to observe.

Mathias has established himself as highly sought after contemporary painter with his works found in both private and public collections.

Jennifer Idrizi is a British artist and designer who currently works from her studio based in Lund, Sweden. She has a diverse creative practice dividing her time between art and designing homeware products and patterns for international clients.

Jennifer studied at Central St Martins School of Art and The Royal College of Art in London and has exhibited her art in the US, UK, Sweden, Denmark, Vietnam and Albania.

‘My art and design work influence each other, and often lead to cross-disciplinary ideas and techniques.’

Jennifer works with a variety of media, depending on the modus of the project. Her work often explores the balance between order/chaos, nature/culture and control/freedom.

Through a series of works on paper, Jennifer always begins with specific set of instructions which lead to subtle variations according to her interpretation during the process of making them.

‘The work begins with a perfectly simple idea. But it is far from perfect as it unfolds. By repeating I am focusing on the question at hand. Partly predicting but also allowing things to unfold. Sensitive dependance on initial conditions, action, mood, response, mistakes, change and time are all inherent to my process.’

Victoria Curling Eriksson

There is an honesty and naivety found in Victoria Curling Eriksson’s painting. Her compositions indulge in complex washes and layering of oil exploring the depth of field present in verdant landscapes. The irregularity and beauty of heathlands and seascapes are sensitively observed with unaffected and modest interpretation.

Her brushstrokes are visible and undefined, diffusing muted basic colour elements enforcing the minimal approach to her painting.

British born artist Victoria Curling Eriksson has always painted but began to focus on her career as an artist more intensely during the last 17 years. Her move from England to Sweden resulted in further exploration of her artist’s education and prolific painting of nature and landscapes that surround and inspired her.

Laura Jane Scott

Laura Jane Scott is an artist working in minimalist, geometric abstraction and colour-field painting.  Her desire for simplicity through geometric form and her striking use of colour enables her to produce work where painting explores a model of architectural form and where colour embodies a physical structure. The resulting work is a refined visual vocabulary of form and colour.

Laura studied at Camberwell College of Arts and Ravensbourne University London. Her work has been exhibited widely over the past eight years in London, Edinburgh, New York and Hamburg and has featured twice in the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition.

‘At the centre of my work is play. I’m inspired a lot by open-ended toys; simple objects and structures that act as canvases to project ideas onto. Things that can be arranged and rearranged. A vocabulary of loose parts.

I love to set some initial boundaries like working with a small palette of colours or a limited set of shapes and then follow the threads of ideas, experimenting and adjusting along the way. My work is part-process and part-intuition.’

Laura focuses on and has been exploring form and colour and the dynamic relationship between the two. She describes her work as an effort to give colour a tangible form, almost a sense of weight. Recently, she’s begun to experiment with reducing or removing some of that form, leaving behind voids or spaces within the colour itself. She is particularly drawn to the shadows cast by her relief works and have been exploring ways to interact more intentionally with these shadows.

Per Ekros

Per Ekros has been drawing since about 3 years of age. He has always been fascinated by faces, expressions and bodies. Animals are an intrinsic part of his life, and they form naturally and intuitively as the subject matter of his artworks. Per grew up being inspired by wildlife programmes and documentaries by Jaques-Yves Costeau and David Attenborough. His heart lies within the animal kingdom and our consumption of their environments, which impacts him deeply and his work is a reflection of this.

‘I want my pictures to engage and enable us all to reflect on how we treat the animals on our planet and how important they are for our survival. So, maybe we can change some of our natural behaviour and instincts for the better.’

Painting by Per Ekros

Per Ekros has a daily ritual of sketching, primarily in charcoal and pencil. During his process he gradually begins to scale down and simplify, so the anatomy and characteristics of his subject are refined and reduced with one strong focus.

‘I don't try to paint nature motives naturally, I want some kind of abstraction in my pictures. The backgrounds are patterns and colours, not photorealistic nature. That puts more focus on the leading character in the picture. I just love oil colours, so most of my pictures naturally are oils. I think oil give a lot of experimental freedom and possibility to add new transparent layers on the old ones.

Ink and water is the big exclamation mark in my life and my newest friend. Ink combined with water is an absolutely fantastic medium to be spontaneous with. The polar bears I created for the exhibition King without Kingdom are all, with the exception of one, made with ink and water. As you can't control this process completely, it's fantastic when you lose a bit of control. It's a completely opposite working process compared to oil, and I suppose thats why simply I can't be without it.’

John Atherton

Originally from Scotland John Atherton studied Graphic Design at The Glasgow School of Art. He lived and worked in London as a screen printer, designer, curator and assistant to international artists before attending The Royal College of Art from 2017 till 2019. After graduating he was selected for both the Clifford Chance Purchase Prize, and Travers Smith, CSR Art Programme.

One of his artistic practice is based on a chance discovery of a series of Swedish school yearbook and the portraits found in each.

‘It’s a seemingly arbitrary starting point for my work, a quite unpredictable and fortuitous beginning. The yearbook symbolises a rite of passage, a point of departure, it captures a moment of infinite possibility, the imminent journey to an unknown destination. My work is screen printed onto different papers and collaged together but I think of myself as a painter, the piles of paper, my colour palette.

These layers of materials and imagery embody a vast hinterland of narratives and creative ideas that echo back to the yearbook. The creative journey and the personal narratives are encoded in the stratification of materials with only the most recent layer fully visible.’

Caroline Attan

Caroline Attan is a British artist who works from her studio in London. She has exhibited in London, New York and internationally and her work can be found in many private collections.

In Caroline’s work, poetry, paradox and metaphor collide as coloured, patterned and folded structures interact creating a woven, textual narrative. Absorbed into a dense circular composition of folded shapes rotate above a grid of hand written poetry.

Latin American poetry, handwritten in ink forms part of the work selected from writer including Coral Bracho, Juan Luis Martinez, Elikura Chihuailaf, Pablo Neruda and Octavio Paz. The works are unsettling and exhilarating in their complexity. Culturally significant in context and language the elements of the poetry are interpreted through colour and rhythm. The visual and tactile impact of these works reference the dynamic and often clashing colours and complex patterns of Peruvian and Mexican woven textiles.

The sequence of hand written narrative is partially obscured by the folded paper forms as words and phrases pop out intermittently. Some of the work use coloured, folded shapes weaving complex and dynamic patterns, bright colours contrast with subtle tones and darker hues, illuminating the possibility of multiple futures. The large-scale circles invite an immersive experience as coloured folded forms simultaneously harmonise and clash in defiance of written language.

A large, predominantly cream picture, Sube Conmigo, handwritten in the circular grid and printed on the folded forms is an extract from a poem ‘The heights of Macho Picchu’ by Pablo Neruda. The picture’s cream folded forms continually rotating above the circular grid creates an immersive, subtle composition.

Smaller works allow for quieter contemplation, a private dialogue likened to ancient calligraphy, secrets not quite revealed but are yet to be discovered. Circular, reductive mono-tone compositions using only black, white and cream pulsate subtly through tone and texture encouraging the viewer to enter a private, calm place. The form of the circle allows for diversity and repetition, secure in its continuous rotation. forming a sculptural, tactile composition.

A circular grid incorporating handwritten text taken from the ending of James Joyce’s Dubliners in two pictures creates a sudden tide of joy and laughter and adieus which maybe likened to an antique manuscript. Folded, printed patterned paper like damask cloth rotate above the poem on cream card. These compositions evoke Joyce’s Ireland in 1914 and feelings of nostalgia, memory and loss as the snow begins to fall all over Ireland.

‘A few light taps upon the pane made him turn to the window. It had begun to snow again. He watched sleepily the flakes, silver and dark, falling obliquely against the lamplight. The time had come for him to set out on his journey westward.’

Rupert Hartley

Rupert Hartley is a British visual artist living and working in Hove, East Sussex.  Trained originally in printed textile design at the Glasgow School of Art later studied an MA in Architecture at University of East London.

His recent paintings focus on the grid; colour and the repeated gesture, using a layered approach he creates frameworks of colour through numerous re-paintings and revisions. His current inter-scenic series signals a bold new development in this work bringing together several strands of his practice from his previous works that play with formal geometries and reference his local environments.

A constant interest and reference in his work has been architecture and city space, from the ‘psychogeographic’ city-based projects of his early work to the spaces he currently lives in and encounters on a daily basis. He sees the city and its endless surfaces and built structures as his source material, living in an area that combines residential, industrial, municipal and touristic spaces he feeds off these environments noting aspects of the public and private spaces, its material surfaces, colours and changing light that act as a constant backdrop to his daily life.

These experiences filter into his studio practice, an open- ended process where he generates collections and series of works through an exploratory process.  He sees his work as ‘constructing’ spaces as much as paintings, setting up an active working space in his studio, where he assembles materials and colours that lead to his paintings and installations. The emerging works reflect various time spans and edits, re uses and repurposing of materials, working on many pieces at the same time he builds large collections of related works.

 Erik Hårdstedt

Erik Hårdstedt works with drawing, collage, graphics, text and music, but watercolour is the medium he constantly returns to. His interest is in the technical aspects such as structure, different pigment qualities, the drying processes, the balance between precision and spontaneity, between abstraction and figuration. Erik is fascinated by the fleeting dreamlike, unpredictable questions and the fact that when working with watercolour the process is almost always beyond his control.

His practice requires perfect presence and focus and Erik Hårdstedt focuses best when he is relaxed. For Erik it's like tightrope walking, when his practice flows freely,

“I'm not a huge fan of isolating myself in my private studio for too long. I work better when I have people around me.”

Erik has touched upon many different subjects throughout his practice. Some that are closer to pop art, where he has mixed everyday mundane objects like food, electronics, album covers, business cards, religious art, packages and logos. Like a portrayal of his stream of ideas and thoughts rushing through his mind. During other periods in his career, portraits have been his main focus.

Painting by Erik Hårdstedt

“I love the immediacy and honesty of watercolour. You can't hide your mistakes, you can only embed them and incorporate them and you can trace the history of the painting back to the start.”

While exploring his creativity, he keeps returning to nature and landscapes and that is what inspired his work with watercolour. this was initially as an avid plein air painter, documenting the changes of seasons and weather in the surroundings where he grew up, north of Borås, Sweden.

“If the weather allows I still prefer to bring all material and work in front of the motif outdoors”

Frédéric Blaimont

Frédéric Blaimont is a French figurative painter and observer of contemporary life. He takes an uncompromising look at the people around us, at those we meet but do not look at.

He does not seek to represent the reality of the subject but to propose to the other's gaze what he perceives as essential. It is a narrative painting freed from conventions that wants to say as little as possible to say it as well as possible.

Human beings are the players in these ordinary commonplace narratives. With blank solid colour backgrounds, the environment and backdrop of the compositions are irrelevant as the body language and physicality of the subjects dominate the compositions.

Figures are surveyed by Frédéric and reproduced in a simplified form, reducing detail to seek out a greater representation of truth. This often results in the strange and obscure elements of life being explored and evaluated, resulting in honestly and at times the grotesque.

Painting by Frédéric Blaimont

His works will allow you to leisurely criticise the supposed delinquencies, flaws, and inconsistencies found in society.  In contrast, the paintings feel smooth, almost delicately and restfully executed. The subdued pastel palettes, plain backgrounds, and monochromatic play make the figures almost feel poetic.

Frédéric paintings are profiles of accuracy, with a subtle dusting of condemnation. He captures men and women; exploring our relationships with bodies, with food, and the unavoidable issue of excess and overconsumption.

‘I don't know what I'm looking for, and I don't necessarily think about it.

I am curious about my contemporaries, about people in their everyday lives. I like to look at their attitudes without complacency; I like their faults; their banality makes them universal; their imperfections are familiar to me.

Let's perhaps say that I try to share my feelings, my vision of our society, to be in a way the witness of my time.’

Frédéric Blaimont lives and works in the Landes. He began his professional career in advertising and teaching graphic arts. Since 2007, he has devoted himself fully to painting.

Daisy Boman

Daisy Boman is an established Belgian artist & sculptor with an international career spanning over four decades.

Initially, Daisy Boman studied art at the Sissa school in Antwerp and then interior design and ceramics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Mol. During a residency in South Africa from 1981-1986 she studied ceramic art and it was in her atelier in Johannesburg that she developed her own personal style.

She was selected to become a member of ‘The Association of Potters of S.A’ and the ‘Artist Under the Sun Association’ and was selected multiple times for the National Ceramic Exhibition in Johannesburg.

On returning to Belgium in 1987 her creative practice in ceramics developed into the primitive, square-headed simplified human figures or ‘Bo-Men’ Bo-mannetje (mannetje = little man). As Daisy Boman personalised man in his most primitive form. His structure is rudimentary, and curiously, he is without a face and each man appears the same, and yet so different.

Square in face, their heads symbolise an unbending resistance to life’s challenges. Boman believes we are all ‘from the same mould’, injured by the society in which we dwell. At first glance they anatomically alike and uniformed and yet Daisy’s unique manipulation of each figure starkly portrays the human condition in all its richness and fragility.

Her work depicts a collective goal, evoking a sense of belonging, a united community, or destiny. Sometimes dozens of her ‘Bo-men’ characters strive, climb and struggle for the same goal. In contrast, a lone ceramic figure, or pair of figures are distanced by white space, powerfully communicating emotions of the need for human trust or togetherness.

Her art is appreciated by an international public and her work can be found in private collections in Australia, New-Zealand, South Africa, U.S.A, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany, France, the Netherlands and U.K.

Hugh Chapman

Hugh Chapman is an incredibly gifted emerging British sculptor who works with some of the finest foundries and bronze experts in the UK to produce bold, dynamic sculptures in bronze and steel. We were lucky enough to be introduced to Hugh through one of the leading experts in sculptural and architectural bronze conservation, the Director at Antique Bronze in London.

Hugh’s modus as a sculptor is to craft sculpture that creates a positive psychological and emotional impact. His process and intentions are deeply grounded in his desire to establish a dialogue between man’s practices and nature’s dynamics of rhythms and systems.

Like many artists, Hugh’s creative journey was impacted by challenges and a period of adversity, where his health was greatly compromised. Physiologically he experienced a conceptual evolution in the aftermath that ultimately led him to a heightened level of visual response and expression. Hugh initially found recovery and solace through photography but through that practice was drawn to dreaming, sketching and visualising three-dimensional physical works.

Hugh’s initial experimentation through photography, where he learnt the significance of light, contrast and reflection, enabled his continuation as a self-taught sculptor. He found a place of peace and understanding in the beauty and tangibility of the natural world.

‘My work is, and will always be, a never-ending quest to translate my thoughts and emotions about this world into other worldly forms that align and complement our lives. It has been said by many people that it is pointless to aim to create a work of beauty. I believe, especially at this time, that beauty is more fundamental than ever for human existence.’

Hugh has spent much of the past decade quietly refining his techniques, perfecting the conveyance of the language of beauty, form, line and light. He has been on a journey of exploration within his practice; finding partnerships with foundries and marrying the historical techniques of sculpture and more recently with the assistance of modern digital processes. Hugh continues to strive for a level of significant quality and experience in his work. He identifies his practice and sculpture as a merging of nature and the physiological, put best by the words of British philosopher Roger Scruton,

‘Through the pursuit of beauty we shape the world as a home and, in doing so, we both amplify our joys and find consolation for our sorrows.’

Hugh’s sculpture Growth Form was acquired as a public sculpture in the prestigious Canary Wharf Art Estate, London in 2016. He exhibited in the Time Space and Existence exhibition in Venice as part of the Architectural Biennale 2018 and his works can be found in international private and public collections..

Marta Lafuente

Marta Lafuente is a Spanish figurative artist working with portraiture. The energy found in her mixed media works, embracing both painting & photography, resonates joy, life, memory & motherhood. It was these subtle, yet powerful qualities which led us to invite her to join the agency.

‘I still do not know at what moment I started to dedicate myself to this profession, or what were the reasons that pushed me to do it.

I frequently consider the problem of time and reflect upon this in my work. It is inevitable to contemplate what Jorge Luís Borges wrote about time, “the fugitive, the evanescent, the succession; If each particle of the present is formed by a particle of the future and another of the past, the memory will be in charge of recovering that ungraspable and vertiginous substance that is in perpetual motion.”

In 2003 I began to work on a series of portraits with childhood as a backdrop and always related to memory and forgetfulness. And I'm still working on it ..’

Her development as an artist has already seen several stages, working with mixed techniques on paperboard, paper or wood, illustrating books published by Lumen & Random House & creating some exquisite award-winning short animated films of her sketches.  Her work is consistent, beautifully executed & elegantly composed & has been exhibited extensively in Spain & the US.

Catherine Ludeau

From the age of 4, Parisienne born artist Catherine Ludeau knew that she would be an artist. She found harmony at an early age filling her childhood with drawing and painting. As a teenager, Catherine joined the Applied Arts rue du Petit-Thouars in Paris, with a specialisation in textile and wallpaper design. She was especially drawn to nature and insects.

At the end of the 70s, Catherine’s career led her to illustrate for high end magazines and fashion designer. She spent three years in New York where she mixed with some of the creatives of the time; Andy Warhol, Paul Morrissey or Lou Reed.

When she returned to Paris, her focused turned to creating works in watercolours inspired by nature until 2000, when she rented a workshop at the Château de Santeny. Here, Catherine began painting abstract works in oil painting and eleven years later she discovered and began her creative practice working with resin.

Catherine continues to explored her interested in nature and natural form through her abstract resin works,

‘Having the ability to express myself in the registers that matter to me, embodying the thousand characters who are part of a woman. In my universe I am my instinct, my femininity are the shapes and colours that make up my paintings.’

Her work continues to be inspired by the philosophy of Zen which expresses serenity, balance, wellbeing and mindfulness. The simplicity of her composition and elegant fragility of the resin on linen creates the most sublime collaboration of materials.

Sara Dare

Sara Dare is a British abstract painter. She works at multiple scales using paper, linen and canvas, with a range of mediums informed by their fluidity including ink, oil, emulsion and acrylic.

Sara’s paintings seek to convey an initial playful interaction with the viewer followed by a sense of unease or tension. Psychologically charged forms push against the edges of the canvas, split open, dangle and protrude. Successes are a balance between discomfort and humour, lure and repulsion and organic and contrived.

The size of work is carefully considered to create the illusion of a physiological space through visual clues and the manipulation of symmetry - a tunnel or an archway - intimate or imposing. There is evidence of Sara’s physical contact and the process behind the work is typically exposed. This touch is often awkwardly just within reach, reducing the capacity for a slick finish or confident gesture and unambiguously hand made. Smaller works emphasise broad movements and allow the viewer to observe the artist-painting relationship more intimately. Sara’s palette reference is broad and instinctive, and colour is manipulated to evoke an emotional response.

Natalie Christensen

Photographer Natalie Christensen’s focus is on banal peripheral landscapes unnoticed by most - commonplace architecture and streetscapes deconstructed to color fields, geometry and shadow. “Sometimes I get a glimpse of the sublime in these ordinary places.” Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico and influenced by her 25 years as a psychotherapist, her work favors psychological metaphors.

“The symbols and spaces in my images are invitations to explore a rich world concealed from consciousness, tapping into something deeply familiar to our experience; often disturbing, sometimes amusing…unquestionably present.”

Her compositions which capture both colour, line and texture feel almost more like a painting than a digital photograph. She is drawn to the light and surreal qualities created by negative space. There is a playful unexpected quality to her images which are intriguing and conjure an evolving narrative.

The beauty of this environment is clear to most people; however, my interest is to explore the more banal suburban landscapes that may not be noticed by the casual observer and to draw attention to the drama that is missed. I am using symbols and shapes, line and shadow, to present psychological metaphors in the landscape. Closed and open doors, shadows and swimming pools draw me to a scene as they invite conjecture. - Natalie Christensen

Natalie studies colour fields, geometric shapes and juxtapositions created by light and shadow. Her images emphasise what is happening within the frame and invite the viewer to contemplate what is happening outside the edges but that which can't be seen. This serves as a reminder that there is always something there, below the surface of awareness, threatening to reveal something new.

We are always seeking new connections and were intrigued by the photography of Lars Daniel. The images of the Big Sleep series lingered & we found ourselves revisiting the images wanting to understand more about the buildings, bodies and photographer.

Lars Daniel has always been swept up in photography, taking on a diverse range of subjects, where landscapes played the bigger part. Analogue photograph came to an abrupt end when one day burglars emptied his studio. His beloved large format camera was later found in a container bound for Libya. He chose to go with the flow & continue his journey with the digital equipment left behind.

His objective is not to present a story, but to allow the viewer to create one of their own or explore the possible directions of the image and how it unfolds. His photographs could be interpreted as dark or even disturbing as he attempts to scratch the surface to deliver a deeper essentially more visceral narrative.  The Big Sleep series became an important body of work within the Nordic Art Agency programme and was represented exclusively by the agency in the Nordics and internationally. All prints are museum quality Giclée prints on matte Hahnemühle paper mounted and framed in handcrafted, dark solid smoked oak frames.

Molly’s paintings are strange fictions that blur the boundary between document and fiction, seeking to create new rituals and new possibilities for our collective histories. Her muted pastel pallets and smoothly contoured figures collide creating uneasy narratives, simultaneously soothing and unsettling.
